Consumer Directed Services (CDS) is a Missouri Medicaid program that is authorized by the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS). This program pays for a caregiver, your family or your friend, to provide care services to you in your own home. The program aims to help you maintain or increase your independence with daily living activities.

Direct Your Own Care

CDS allows you to direct your own care. You are responsible for selecting the right caregiver for you! You will train, manage, and direct your caregiver to meet your needs. A caregiver can be anyone you choose but not your spouse.
